Games.con is set for December

Date: 25-11-2019

games con

Games.con, the central event of the year for all computer games lovers, will gather gamers from December 6th to December 9th on Belgrade fair, in specially adapted halls 1 1a and 2. As this is the fourth time the gaming convention is being held in Belgrade, and it’s growing each year, it is safe to say that Games.con is here to stay, even as it doesn’t have a directly commercial nature, as other fairs. Visitors can’t buy much, but they can watch several tournaments, meet gaming champions and meet eachother. Members of various game clans are getting discounted tickets and other perks, to motivate them to come in groups and meet in person, outside the virtual world.

Talks, quizzes, game designers meet-ups

Beside the tournaments, the organizers have prepared several other events, supported, as always, by manufacturers of gaming hardware. Well known gamers and business representatives will hold live talks, while visitors can test their knowledge in dynamic quizzes on gaming topics. Independent game developers will show their work, and best among them will join the big indie game developers’ summit in London (all expenses paid), where they will show their work to potential investors.

Prizes and more prizes

Probably the most interesting part of Games.con will be live tournaments in popular taam-based games for PC and PlayStation. The team that wins LOL tournament will get 1000 Euros, while the best DOTA 2 team will receive 500 Euros. Fortnite tournament is open for 512 players, with the man (woman) standing being the winner and getting 75.000 RSD. PlayStation fans will play quick PvP games, such as Mortal Kombat 11, Street Fighter, Tekken 7, FIFA20 and PES20, while the lower level of the main hall is reserved for board games, such as Warhammer 40000 and Magic: The Gathering.

Ticket prices

Ticket price for Games.com is 900 RSD for all three days, and 500/600 RSD for a single day (price before and during Games.com). Discounts are given for groups, while the number of three-day tickets is limited. If you are coming to Belgrade in early December, and you love computer games, you shouldn’t miss this event. Sky apartments are, as always, ready for you and your friends, just remember to book as early as you can, as we have more and more guests and the New Years comes closer and closer.
