Partizan – Besiktas, match for the Europa League
First playoff match deciding which team will enter the Europa League between Partizan and Besiktas will take place on August 23rd in Belgrade. For security reasons there will be no supporters of Besiktas in Serbia, as well as no Partizan supporters in Istanbul.
Tickets for match Partizan – Besiktas are being sold since Friday, and since the stadium will be open just for Partizan fans, this will be the great opportunity for a rarely seen number of Partizan fans to get together and support their team in this important and hard match against a renowned team from Turkey.
Besiktas is certainly the favorite, it is the team which made it to the round of 16 in last year’s Champions League, loosing to Bayern Munich. Partizan has to win in Belgrade to have a chance to proceed to Europa League in this season. In case Partizan gets trough, it is likely the next opponent will not be as hard as Besiktas, so a possible triumph over Besiktas would be a sign of great things to come. At this moment, neither Partizan or Besiktas are giving their best in national leagues, so inspiration and luck will play a big factor in Thursday’s match.
